When I get trouble with my Windows XP, one of solution to fix it I press F5 or F8 key when Windows XP boot up to entering Safe Mode or open boot menu. But I am confusing when I get problem with my Macbook, at that time I want repair my harddrive permission and my friend suggest to me to use the utility from MacOS X Disc 1 that's bundle with my Macbook and to use it he says to boot up with that DVD. For the first time I insert the DVD and it's not boot from the DVD and I ask my friend that has experience 8 years using Mac and he share me a paper that contain key list that can press when MacOS X boot up.
And I want to share it for you...
Remember, press these keys when Mac start boot up and hold it until its" function" has shown.....Key Function C Boots from CD/DVD drive N Attempts to start up from a NetBoot server R Reset the display for a Powerbook T Set your Mac become a Target client as a mountable Firewire drive. To exit this mode press Power button. This function is useful when you want transfer data to other Mac. X Holding this key will forces your Mac boot to MacOS X, even your configuration is Mac OS 9 as your default startup disk. Command+S Boots in single-user mode Command+V Boots into verbose mode, displaying all the startup message on screen Shift Boots your Mac in Safe mode. Mouse button Holding down at startup ejects any removable disk (CD/DVD) Option Holding down the Option key will open Start Manager window. Shift+Option+Command+Q Logs you off without first prompting you. Ctrl-Eject (F12) Open a dialog box that contain option to Restart, Sleep and Shutdown.
