Windows XP in its progress to run the system always create so many temporary files so as Windows XP can works properly. But if you never clean up them maybe your harddrive will running out soon. Specially if Windows XP doesn't shutdowning properly.

So, if you want display your temporary files or want to delete them (I'm ensuring if you want wipe them out) just pointing your explorer to temporary folder.
To do it just click Start - Run menu then type %temp% in textbox then press Enter key. And you will see your Temporary folder soon and if you have reach the folder just select all and press Shift + Delete keys to delete them. Indeed, some file cann't removed to fix it you can restart your computer and try to delete them or you can going to in safe mode of Windows XP.
