Do you know, if you delete a single file or many files, those files can recovered again ? So, your files are not safe yet. If your files is secret files so you must wipe it to make it be unrecovered and anyone who want to recover your files will failed. You can find so many wiper softwares out there. But just save your money, because Windows XP already bundling a tool to do that job and if you're not satisfy with this tool try to choose 3rd party tools.

The tool calls cipher.exe. Actually, this tool has function to encrypt your files. But it has a parameter to doing as a deleted files wiper. Cipher will overwrite the delete files and moving it randomly to other hard drive sector. So Recovered Software will difficult to recover those files.
OK, to using cipher, open your command prompt console first (by click Start - Run, type cmd then press Enter). Type cipher /w:(your folder), for example : cipher /w:c:\smc.
Then cipher will cleaning up the smc folder and your deleted files inside that folder become unrecoverable.
