As you know, if you use Windows XP for a long time, your harddrive will filled with so many junk files or temporary files inside it. I've been write about clean temporary files 3-4 days ago, I want to write about clean up the temporary files with another way (and the other junk files too).

Windows XP has provide a tool to clean up the junk files that calls Disk Cleanup, there's several ways available to open it. You can open it by type cleanmgr in Start - Run menu; or via click Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup menu; or via right click the harddrive icon (inside Windows Explorer), choose Properties menu, click Disk Cleanup button inside General tab. After Disk Cleanup is opened, check the files type that you want delete then click OK button to execute it.
And don't forget to delete the prefetch files inside Prefetch folder where located inside Windows folder (usually C:\Windows\Prefetch), those files are linked files those created by executed applications. And those files will eat your harddrive space. If you've inside Prefetch folder, just select all those files by press Ctrl + A keys then press Shift + Delete keys to delete them.
Now, your harddrive can breath again.
